Our Curriculum
Here at Little Wizards Preschool, we believe that children are curious, engaged and skilful learners, who are capable of constructing their own learning.
We adapted NEL’s iTEACH Principles in crafting our curriculum to provide a meaningful learning experience for our students.
Under our teaching goals, we adhere to NEL’s learning dispositions to cultivate positive learning behaviours in children.

Children make sense of their daily encounters that involve numeracy concepts and skills. Recognize and use basic shapes, simple number relationships and patterns (NEL, 2012).

Children manage their emotions and behaviors, develop a sense of identify and responsibility for their actions. Communicate, interact and build relationships with others positively (NEL, 2012).

P stands for Perseverance to encourage children to keep working at a task to complete it (NEL, 2012).
R stands for Reflectiveness to help children to gain knowledge and apply what they have learnt to different situations in the future (NEL, 2012).
A stands for Appreciation to help children work and learn together as a team by respecting and listening to others (NEL, 2012).
I stands for Inventiveness which enables children to consider alternative points of view to examine problems and solutions (NEL, 2012).
S stands for Sense of Wonder and Curiosity to encourage interest in children to explore and discover new things (NEL, 2012).
E stands for Engagement to help children be immerse in learning and enjoy by actively seeking opportunities to learn (NEL, 2012).
